Michael R. Bonshock was born on November 7, 1958 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania. He attended Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in 1980. Upon graduating, Mr. Bonshock worked as a claims representative handling property and casualty insurance claims. He enrolled in The Dickinson School of Law in 1985 and obtained his J.D. Degree in 1988. While attending law school, Mr. Bonshock was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and was inducted as a member of the Woolsack Honor Society.
Mr. Bonshock began his legal career as an Associate with Peters & Wasilefski in 1988. He became a Shareholder in the firm in 1993. Mr. Bonshock has concentrated his practice in the area of workers’ compensation. He has aggressively and successfully litigated cases on behalf of his clients throughout all levels of the workers’ compensation system, establishing precedent in the Pennsylvania Appellate Courts, including cases of first impression.
Mr. Bonshock is a member of the Dauphin County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Defense Institute, Defense Research Institute, and the Workers’ Compensation Sections of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Dauphin County Bar Association.
